But Remember - "Dreaming of snakes can indeed be a sign of family discord, especially when the dream occurs repeatedly or involves family members or household-related scenes."However, according to Dream Astrology, “seeing a snake in a dream is considered a sign of a major change in your life, a hidden worry, fear, an unknown danger, or an upcoming challenge.”
This doesn’t mean at all that you can’t have a fight with your husband or family. Let’s explore how seeing snakes in your dreams can indicate family discord.
1. When a Snake Appears Chasing or Harming a Family Member
If you see a snake chasing any family member—especialy your husband—in a dream, it can be interpreted as a sign of an upcoming quarrel or domestic dispute.
However, there is an important exception. If the snake is the divine serpent of Lord Shiva (the black-colored Cobra – Vasuki), then the dream is considered auspicious. In Hindu belief, this is seen as a sign of Goddess Lakshmi’s blessings and prosperity entering the home.
On the other hand, if the snake is neither black nor a Nāga(Cobra), the dream may indeed point toward the possibility of conflict in the household.
2. Especially When Snakes Appear Repeatedly in Dreams (Inside your House)
If you repeatedly see snakes in your dreams, or if you see them inside your house—but again under the first condition (that the snake is not a Nāga), then you should consider it an inauspicious sign.
According to Hindu dream interpretation (Swapna Shastra)- “this may indicate Pitru Dosha or Kaal Sarp Dosha.” In simple terms, it suggests the possibility of unrest, conflicts, or mental stress arising within your household.
What To Do If You Keep Seeing Snakes In Your Dreams Chasing Someone In Your House?

1. Share Your Dream with Your Partner and Family Members
You might be wondering what will happen if you tell everyone about your dream. The first benefit is that if a situation arises that could lead to a quarrel, your partner and family will be alert and try to manage the situation. They will also not blame you for it.
2. Visit a Shiva Temple and Offer Milk to Lord Shiva’s Snake (Vasuki)
If your snake dreams are disturbing you and you want them to stop appearing, you can visit a Shiva temple on Monday after taking a bath. Take some cow’s milk in a bowl and offer it to Lord Shiva’s snake, Vasuki, and pray – “such snake dreams do not appear in the future”. Since Vasuki is considered the king of snakes, this practice is believed to prevent such disturbing dreams.
